Data & reuse

What you can take and what to ask for.

Documentation is published under CC BY-NC 4.0 for scholarship, teaching and non-commercial reuse. Some of it is on the page already; some of it needs an email.

  1. Record metadata

On the page · citation in plain text, BibTeX and RIS

Every field a record holds is rendered on its page, including the ones that are empty. Citations are generated from those fields.

    Available
  2. The drawing, at reading size

    AVIF / WebP, responsive

Served with the record page. Right-click is not disabled anywhere on this site.

  3. The drawing, at archival resolution

    Deep-zoom viewer

Open the plate on a record page to examine it down to individual courses of stone. A single flat file at that resolution is available on request.

  4. Point clouds and meshes

    On request

The survey’s primary evidence. Large and released case by case with the custodian of the site. Enquiries are welcome and usually answered yes.

  5. Record PDFs

    Not yet published

Record pages are built to print legibly today. A dedicated PDF deliverable is in preparation.

  6. Bulk archive export

    Not yet published

A machine-readable export of the whole archive will follow once the schema has settled. Until then, ask and we will send what you need.

Each drawing sits on its record, with the survey that produced it and the limits of what it establishes.

Before you use it

Attribute the record rather than the website and quote the version you consulted: records are revised as gaps close and a citation without a version cannot be checked later.

Commercial reuse needs a separate agreement. Not to restrict research: a measured record of a protected monument should not be resold without the site knowing that it has been.
